MAKÜ, Became an Associate Member of the European University Sports Association EUSA

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, (MAKÜ) added a new one to its international collaborations with the European University Sports Association (EUSA). MAKÜ's application for EUSA Associate Membership was evaluated by the EUSA Executive Committee, and at the meeting held on December 22, 2025, it was decided to grant Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University the status of Temporary EUSA Associate Member. The EUSA Executive Committee has so far granted EUSA associate member status to 109 universities from 22 countries.

MAKÜ's relations with EUSA are not limited to the membership process but are also strengthened by hosting international sports organizations. In this context, the EUSA European Universities Table Tennis Championship was successfully held in October 2025, hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The championship brought together university athletes from different countries in Europe in Burdur, making a significant contribution to MAKÜ's international recognition.

The temporary Associate Membership status obtained from EUSA is considered an indicator of MAKÜ's institutional capacity in the field of sports and its effectiveness at the international level. MAKÜ will continue to actively contribute to activities to be carried out under the EUSA umbrella and to develop international collaborations in the upcoming period.
